CASE STUDY: Strategic Partner Search

This project was conducted for Ireland's major economic development agency.

  • The Objectives

Our client wished to develop strategic business partnerships between fast growing hi-technology companies (principally IT sector companies) located in certain regions of the Republic of Ireland and counterparts in the U.S. and Canada, as a mechanism to accelerate the growth of these companies in home and other European (export) markets.

  • The Process

In conjunction with our client, Pan Atlantic SMS Group developed a strategic partnership development program to meet the specific needs of each of the companies selected to participate in this program. This was branded as the North American Partnership Program (NAPP).

Pan Atlantic SMS Group employed its successful partnership development model to each participating client on a tailored basis. A high percentage of companies were introduced to qualified partners in the U.S. and Canada and were provided on-the-ground individualized consulting assistance on successful strategic partnership development.

  • The Outcome

A significant number of successful partnership deals were concluded with North American companies, resulting in increased client company sales and profitability, employment growth and technology development.

As a result of the success of the initial 18 month program conducted by Pan Atlantic SMS Group, our client extended the project for three subsequent 18 month programs.
